Hyperiod look like a normal pair of underwear but, are provided with a multilayer gusset composed of innovative fabrics that ensure absorbency and impermeability: hyperiod can retain the menstrual flow for up to 8-12 hours so you can feel dry and comfy aaaaall day long! But please, note that every flow is different and like every device, menstrual panties also have an absorbance limit. It’s important to know and test hyperiod on your own flow, ‘cause the average duration time is very subjective.
Once you have used them, wash them following the care instructions.

By taking good care of your hyperiod following those steps, you can extend their lifespan.

Step 1. Wash before wearing them for the first time to activate maximum absorbance technology.

Step 2. After use, rinse in cold water and wring out until the water runs clear. If you want, you can also soak them in a basin for a few hours.

Step 3. You can either hand wash or simply machine wash them at a cold cycle (<30°), along with the rest of the laundry. Do not use bleach or fabric softener.

Step 4. Hang dry, away from heat sources. No dryer or ironing, please :)

We would say... always! But specifically they can be used / you can try them for :

• When wearing other devices such as cups or pads, for extra protection
• Leaks and spotting
• Small pee leaks
• Dysphoria / Irritation with typical menstrual products
• Postpartum

Sure, hyperiod absorbs all kinds of liquid! You will be protected from vaginal leaks, sweat, and small pee leaks, also during and/or post pregnancy. Feel free to fearlessly laugh, cough or sneeze! Please note that hyperiod can absorb small leaks, but we don’t recommend using them as adult diapers.

In general, we always recommend not referring to the average hours of duration but to the number of pads indicated on each product, the one for heavy flow holds up to 3-4 standard pads.
You certainly know your menstrual flow better than we do, but if this is your first time using them, we recommend trying them out at home the first time to keep an eye on things in peace.

Hyperiod is designed to prevent leaks, but like any other product in the market, they have limited absorbance capacity.
Hyperiod can retain the menstrual flow for up to 8-12 hours so you can feel dry and comfy aaaaall day long but the amount of time it will work for you is personal and depends on the intensity of your flow and which model you are wearing. We recommend that you don't rely only on this indication of hours but try them out and see how long they last according to your flow, you will see how easy it will be to know when to replace them with a clean pair. Everyone's body and flows are different and unique, that’s why it’s very important to get to know your flow. So, the best way to answer this question is testing hyperiod (We suggest you try it at home for the first time) to understand what works best for your flow.

It’s really important that you thoroughly understand your menstrual flow in order to better pick the ideal model for each day of your period.
• Now, be mindful while wearing them: if you notice a spot of blood getting closer to the sides, it's time to change them babes!
• Even though a hyperiod can hold the flow up to 8-12 hours, we recommend that you assess it based on the corresponding number of tampons indicated on each model. With heavier menstrual flows, the time span will likely be shorter.
• Whenever you go to the toilet and you notice a blood clot over the gusset, we recommend removing them with a piece of paper and you’re done :)
• Hyperiod are designed to make you feel dry, so if you're starting to feel damp, that’s a sign for ch-ch-change!
• Take good care of your hyperiod. The simpler the wash, the better: use neutral soap, cold or warm water (<30°), and let it air dry. This is how you best preserve absorbance and impermeability.

Sure! Unlike the traditional tampons and pads, which retain all the moisture in the vagina making it dry and, therefore, susceptible to infection, hyperiod, being soft and breathable, allow air to circulate in sensitive parts! The body and the lining of our undies are made of Micromodal. Micromodal garments are light, soft, pleasant to the touch and super gentle on the skin. Reuse: if you see that the absorbency capacity is decreasing, you can continue to use your hyperiod on less intense days of your flow or as an alternative to panty liners. Or, you can continue to use it like normal underwear!

Recycle: reach out to your nearby local textile recycling center.
